Morning Prayer — Courage | Thursday, July 30, 2026

Morning Prayer

Good morning, and thank You for this new day and the strength to face whatever it holds. As we begin, we ask for courage — not the absence of fear, but the willingness to move forward even when we feel uncertain. Whatever challenges today brings, we don’t have to face them from a place of anxiety.

Help us to remember that courage isn’t something we work up on our own; it comes from knowing You are with us in every situation. When today asks something hard of us — a difficult conversation, an unfamiliar decision, a step outside our comfort — remind us that we’re not walking into it alone. Strengthen us to act boldly, even when we feel small.

As we step into today, let courage shape how we respond to challenges rather than shrink from them. Whatever this day requires, we trust that You go before us, and that truth is enough to steady our hearts and move us forward.

A Word of Reflection

Courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s trusting God’s presence more than we trust our fear. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9) reminds us that our strength isn’t self-generated; it flows from knowing we are never facing anything alone. This morning, whatever feels daunting, we can move forward boldly, trusting in a presence far greater than our fear.
