Morning Prayer
Good morning, and thank You for this new day and the invitation to walk through it with a humble heart. As we begin, we ask for the willingness to learn, to listen, and to set aside our need to always be right or always be seen. Let humility shape how we move through today.
Help us to resist the urge to compare ourselves to others or seek recognition for what we do. So often pride creeps in quietly, wanting credit or wanting to appear more capable than we are. Today, we ask instead for a teachable spirit, one that values growth over image and service over status.
As we step into today, let humility guide our interactions, our decisions, and our willingness to admit when we don’t have all the answers. Whatever this day requires, we trust that walking humbly with You matters more than appearing impressive to anyone else.
A Word of Reflection
Humility isn’t about thinking less of ourselves. It’s about walking through life without needing constant recognition or being right. “Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8) reminds us that humility is a posture we choose daily, not a trait we simply possess. This morning, whatever today brings, we can walk it with a humble heart, trusting that quiet faithfulness matters more than visible achievement.
