Morning Prayer
Good morning, and thank You for this new day and the invitation to truly pay attention to it. As we begin, we ask for hearts and minds that are present, not distracted, so we can notice what You’re doing and saying throughout today rather than rushing past it.
Help us to slow down enough to really listen, whether to Your voice, to the people around us, or to the quiet promptings we so often overlook. So much of life passes by unnoticed simply because we’re moving too fast to pay attention. Today, we ask for the discipline to stay attentive, even in ordinary moments.
As we step into today, let attentiveness shape how we engage with everything and everyone we encounter. Whatever this day holds, we trust that being fully present matters more than moving quickly through it.
A Word of Reflection
Attentiveness is choosing to notice what we would otherwise rush past. “Pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words” (Proverbs 4:20) reminds us that wisdom often comes to those willing to slow down and truly listen. This morning, whatever today brings, we can stay present and attentive, trusting that the quiet moments we notice often matter the most.
