Evening Prayer — Healing | Friday, May 1, 2026

As we move toward rest, we ask that your healing work continue in us through the night.
As we close this day, the invitation is to rest in that promise rather than measure how far we still have to go.

Evening Prayer
Lord, as this day draws to a close, we lay down what we carried — the weariness, the worry, and the weight of whatever reminded us today that we are not yet whole. Thank you for walking through it with us. Even the hard moments were not wasted. Even the tears were not unnoticed.
As we move toward rest, we ask that your healing work continue in us through the night. Restore what has been depleted. Tend to what is still sore. Let sleep be more than just rest — let it be a quiet act of trust, a releasing of ourselves into your care. We are still in the process of being made well, and we are grateful you have not given up on us.
A Word of Reflection
There is a particular grace in reaching the end of a day and still believing that wholeness is possible. Healing rarely arrives all at once — it comes in small returns, in moments of unexpected peace, in the slow loosening of what once felt permanent. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). As we close this day, the invitation is to rest in that promise rather than measure how far we still have to go. God is not finished with us. The night is not an interruption to that work — it is part of it.
