Morning Prayer
Good morning, Lord — what a gift it is to greet another day in your presence. As the light finds its way through the windows and the world begins to stir, we pause to thank you. Thank you for rest that restored us, for breath that fills our lungs, and for the quiet miracle of a brand new beginning. You are faithful, and your faithfulness meets us fresh every single morning.
Today, we ask for the strength to keep going. Life is not always easy, and some seasons feel more like climbing than walking. But you have not called us to a race we cannot finish — you have promised to run alongside us, cheering us forward. May we fix our eyes on what truly matters and resist the urge to grow weary when progress feels slow. Remind us that endurance is not just stubbornness — it is faith in motion.
Let this day be marked by steady trust. When we face moments that tempt us to quit or shrink back, may your Spirit rise up within us and remind us of the finish line ahead. We are not alone in this race. You go before us, you walk beside us, and when we stumble, you are there to lift us to our feet. Thank you, Lord, for giving us the grace to keep going. Amen.
A Word of Reflection
Running a race takes more than speed — it takes resolve. The writer of Hebrews reminds us to “run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1), knowing that the path has already been designed with purpose. There will be moments of weariness, and that is okay. What matters is that we keep moving. God does not ask for perfection — he asks for faithfulness, one step at a time. Today, whatever you are carrying, know that the endurance you need has already been placed inside you.
