Morning Prayer
Good morning, and thank You for this new day and for the countless small kindnesses You’ve shown us. As we begin today, we ask for soft hearts — willing to extend gentleness to others, even when it’s easier to respond with irritation or indifference. Let kindness shape how we move through today.
Help us to notice the small opportunities for kindness that often go unnoticed — a patient response, a warm word, a willingness to help without being asked. Remind us that kindness isn’t reserved for grand gestures; it lives in the everyday moments when we choose gentleness over convenience.
As we step into today, let our words and actions reflect the same kindness You’ve so freely shown us. Whatever frustrations or busyness this day brings, help us to pause and choose compassion. Thank You for meeting us with tenderness so consistently, and let that same tenderness flow through us today.
A Word of Reflection
Kindness is one of the simplest, most tangible ways we reflect God’s character to others. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32) reminds us that kindness flows from having received grace ourselves. This morning, whatever today brings, we can choose gentleness, trusting that even small acts of kindness carry real weight.
