Morning Prayer
Good morning, Lord. Thank you for the gift of this new day — for the quiet that comes with early morning, for the chance to begin again, for the simple miracle that we are here. As we rise and step into what this Thursday holds, we come to you not just asking for strength, but trusting that you are the very source of it. Whatever yesterday left unfinished, whatever this day may bring, we do not have to face it on our own.
We ask this morning for the grace to endure — not just to push through with gritted teeth, but to hold steady with a faith that does not waver even when the road stretches longer than we expected. Life has a way of asking more from us than we think we have, but we believe your Word when it says that those who endure to the end will be saved. That is not a distant promise — it is a living one, breathing courage into us right now, in this moment, before the day even fully begins. We choose, with your help, to keep going.
Let your Spirit be the endurance beneath our endurance, Lord. When our energy flags and our motivation fades, remind us why we run. Remind us who runs alongside us. Fill us with a long-view faith that is not shaken by short-term trouble, and let us be a steady presence for those around us who are also finding their way through. We trust you with this day — every hard part and every good part. Lead us forward.
A Word of Reflection
There are seasons in life when the most faithful thing we can do is simply keep going. “But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” — Matthew 24:13. These words, spoken by Jesus himself, are not a warning but a promise — an anchor for the soul that reminds us the finish line is real and the One who called us is faithful. Endurance in the Christian life is not sheer willpower; it is a daily surrender to the God who renews our strength. Whatever you are pressing through today, take heart: you are not walking alone, and the road ahead is held by steady and faithful hands.
