Morning Prayer — Generosity | Friday, July 24, 2026

Morning Prayer

Good morning, and thank You for all You’ve given us, more than we could ever fully count. As we begin today, we ask for open hands and open hearts — willing to give, not just of our resources, but of our time, our patience, and our attention to those around us.

Help us to release any tightness we feel around what we have, remembering that everything we hold was given to us first. Whatever this day asks of us — a moment of generosity toward a stranger, patience toward someone who needs it, a willingness to share what we’d rather keep for ourselves — let us respond freely rather than reluctantly.

As we step into this Friday, let generosity shape how we move through the world today. Whether it’s a kind word, a helping hand, or simply presence with someone who needs it, let our giving reflect the abundance You’ve so freely poured into us. Thank You for teaching us that generosity multiplies rather than diminishes what we have.

A Word of Reflection

Generosity isn’t about how much we have — it’s about how freely we’re willing to give it. “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed” (Proverbs 11:25) reminds us that giving isn’t a loss, but part of a beautiful cycle of blessing. This morning, whatever we have to offer today — time, kindness, resources — we can give it freely, trusting that generosity always returns more than it costs.
