Morning Prayer — Refuge | Monday, July 13, 2026

Morning Prayer

Good morning, and thank You for this new week ahead of us. As we step into it, we want to remind ourselves of something simple but steadying: You are our refuge. Whatever this week holds — new tasks, new pressures, things we can’t yet anticipate — we don’t have to face it unprotected. We can run to You first.

There’s comfort in knowing we don’t need to build our own safety out of control or certainty. When the week feels uncertain, help us remember that our shelter isn’t found in having everything figured out, but in staying close to You. Let that truth quiet any anxious start-of-week thoughts and replace them with steadiness. We trust You to be our strength in whatever comes.

As this Monday unfolds, let us walk through it unafraid, knowing we have somewhere safe to return to no matter what happens. Thank You for being a refuge that doesn’t move, even when everything around us does.

A Word of Reflection

A refuge isn’t just a place we go to escape difficulty — it’s a place that gives us the strength to face it. “God is our refuge and strength” (Psalm 46:1) reminds us that shelter and strength are found together in Him. This morning, as a new week begins, we can walk forward without fear, knowing we always have somewhere steady to return to. Whatever this week brings, we are not unprotected.
