Morning Prayer — Surrender | Tuesday, July 14, 2026

Morning Prayer

Thank You for this new morning and for another chance to walk closely with You. As we begin today, we want to lay down our need to control every outcome. So often we grip tightly to our own plans, our own timing, our own ideas of how things should go — and today, we choose instead to open our hands and trust You with it all.

Surrender isn’t giving up; it’s choosing to believe that Your plans are better than our own limited view. Help us to release the outcomes we’ve been anxious about, the situations we keep trying to manage on our own, the fears we haven’t fully handed over. Teach us that yielding to You isn’t weakness — it’s where real peace begins.

As we step into today, let surrender become our posture rather than our struggle. Wherever this day leads, we choose to follow rather than force our own way. Thank You for holding what we release, and for meeting us with peace every time we let go.

A Word of Reflection

Surrender is one of the hardest and most freeing choices we can make. “Yet not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42) shows us that even in the deepest moments of struggle, yielding to God brings a peace that striving never could. This morning, whatever we’re holding too tightly, we can offer it back to Him. In letting go, we don’t lose control — we exchange it for something far more trustworthy.
