Morning Prayer — Perseverance | Thursday, July 16, 2026

Morning Prayer

Good morning, and thank You for the strength to begin again today. We know there are things ahead of us that will take patience, effort, and endurance — challenges we haven’t fully solved, situations that require us to keep showing up even when progress feels slow. This morning, we ask for the perseverance to keep going.

Help us remember that perseverance isn’t about doing everything perfectly or quickly — it’s about staying faithful, one step at a time, even when the finish line feels far away. When we feel tired or discouraged today, remind us that You are with us in the slow, steady middle of things, not just at the beginning or the end. Give us the endurance to keep moving forward without giving up.

As we walk through today, let our perseverance be rooted in trust rather than sheer willpower. We don’t have to carry this race alone — You are running alongside us, giving strength exactly when we need it. Thank You for being patient with our pace and faithful through every stretch of the journey.

A Word of Reflection

Perseverance isn’t about speed — it’s about staying faithful through the long stretches that test our patience. “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1) reminds us that endurance is itself an act of faith, not just effort. This morning, whatever feels slow or difficult, we can keep moving forward, trusting that every step matters. We are not meant to sprint alone — we are meant to endure, faithfully, with God beside us.
