Evening Prayer
As this week draws to a close, we think about the decisions we faced these past few days — some clear, some genuinely hard to navigate. Tonight, we thank You for the wisdom that showed up in unexpected moments, guiding us even when we weren’t sure we were choosing correctly.
There were times this week we leaned on our own understanding instead of pausing to seek Yours, and we recognize that now. We release the pressure to have had every answer, every plan perfectly mapped out. Instead, we simply thank You for the wisdom we did receive — a clearer thought, a timely word, a moment of unexpected clarity when we needed it most.
As we close this week, we ask for wisdom to carry into the days ahead, not because we’ll always get things right, but because we’re learning to trust Your guidance over our own limited view. We rest tonight, grateful for a wisdom that isn’t ours alone, but freely given.
A Word of Reflection
True wisdom isn’t about knowing everything — it’s about knowing where to turn when we don’t. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God” (James 1:5) reminds us that seeking guidance is always welcomed, never refused. As this week ends, we can release any moments where we felt unsure, trusting that wisdom was given generously even when we didn’t fully recognize it. We rest tonight, ready to keep seeking it in the days ahead.
