Morning Prayer
Good morning, and thank You for this new week ahead. As we begin, we want to set aside our need to understand everything before moving forward. So often we hold back until we feel certain, but today we choose instead to trust You even in the parts of this week we can’t yet see clearly.
Help us to lean on You rather than our own limited understanding. When plans feel uncertain or answers seem out of reach, remind us that trust doesn’t require having everything figured out — it simply means taking the next step, believing You are guiding it. Quiet the part of us that wants full control, and replace it with confidence in Your faithfulness.
As this week unfolds, let our trust deepen with every step, even the uncertain ones. We don’t need to force our own way forward; we only need to remain close to You, believing that You are directing our path even when we can’t yet see it.
A Word of Reflection
Trust is choosing to move forward even when we can’t see the whole picture. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5–6) reminds us that real trust means releasing our need for certainty. This morning, as a new week begins, we can walk forward with confidence, not because we know exactly what’s ahead, but because we know who is leading us through it.
