Morning Prayer
Good morning, and thank You for this new day and for the wisdom to see clearly what truly matters. As we begin, we ask for discernment — the ability to recognize what deserves our attention and what doesn’t, especially in a day that may bring competing priorities and noise.
Help us to filter today’s decisions through a lens of clarity rather than reaction. So often we respond to what’s loudest instead of what’s most important. Give us the discernment to pause, consider, and choose wisely, trusting that You will help us recognize what truly matters in each moment.
As we step into today, let discernment shape our choices, our conversations, and how we spend our time and energy. Whatever this day presents, we trust that You will help us see clearly, distinguishing between what’s urgent and what’s truly important.
A Word of Reflection
Discernment isn’t about having all the answers upfront — it’s about growing in the ability to recognize what’s best. “That your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may discern what is best” (Philippians 1:9–10) reminds us that wisdom grows through seeking, not just through experience alone. This morning, whatever choices today brings, we can trust that clarity will come as we remain open to it.
