Morning Prayer
Good morning, Lord. Thank you for the gift of this new day — for breath in our lungs, for light streaming through the windows, for the simple miracle of beginning again. There is something sacred about mornings, the way they arrive fresh and unhurried, carrying no residue of yesterday unless we choose to bring it with us. And today, we choose renewal. We choose to step into this day not as people weighed down by the past, but as people made new by your grace.
You are not finished with us. That truth feels especially alive in the morning. Renew our minds today, Lord — the anxious thoughts, the old patterns, the worn-out ways of seeing ourselves and others. Breathe fresh perspective into how we approach our work, our relationships, and our quiet moments. May we be transformed not by striving harder, but by yielding more fully to you. Let renewal begin from the inside out, and may others catch even a glimpse of your goodness in how we walk through this day.
A Word of Reflection
Every morning carries the fingerprints of a God who makes all things new. Romans 12:2 invites us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God — what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2). Renewal isn’t a dramatic reset that erases who we are; it is a daily, quiet cooperation with the Spirit who is already at work within us. Today, we don’t have to carry yesterday. We are invited to think differently, live differently, and trust that the God of new beginnings is leading the way.
