Morning Prayer
Lord, thank You for the gift of this morning — for breath in our lungs, for a new day stretched before us like an open road. As we rise and step into the hours ahead, we ask that You quiet every distraction and draw our hearts close to Yours. There is so much noise in this world that can drown out the still, small voice that reminds us why we are here. Help us to listen well today.
We come before You with open hands, trusting that the plans You hold for us are far greater than anything we could design on our own. When the path feels uncertain or the work feels small, remind us that purpose is not always found in the grand and visible — sometimes it lives in the quiet faithfulness of showing up, in the kind word offered, in the task done with integrity. Guide our steps today. Make them count. Let everything we touch be shaped by Your intention.
May we move through this Friday with confidence — not from our own strength, but from the sure knowledge that You are already in the places we are going. We are not adrift. We are held. And that is more than enough to begin.
A Word of Reflection
There is something deeply comforting about knowing that our lives are not accidents. Before we could name our own dreams, God had already written something beautiful over us. The prophet Jeremiah carried these words to a people in exile — people who felt forgotten — and yet the promise rang clear: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). Whatever season you find yourself in today, those words are still true. Your purpose is not lost. It is being unfolded, one faithful day at a time.
