Morning Prayer
Good morning, Lord. Thank you for this new day — for the quiet before the noise, for breath and light and the simple gift of being here. As we step into this Wednesday, we come to you with open hands and open minds, asking not just for answers, but for wisdom to ask the right questions. Life has a way of presenting us with crossroads that feel too complex for our own understanding, and it is in those moments that we most need you — your clarity, your counsel, your calm.
Grant us wisdom today in the big decisions and the small ones alike. In the conversation we are nervous about, in the choice that has been lingering, in the moment when patience would serve better than quick words — meet us there. We do not need to have everything figured out before we begin. We only need to walk with you, one step at a time, trusting that the wisdom we seek is never withheld from those who ask sincerely. So here we are, asking. Lead us well today, and let everything we do carry the quiet mark of a heart that sought you first.
A Word of Reflection
There is a beautiful simplicity in what God asks of us when we need wisdom — just ask. No elaborate ritual, no prerequisite of perfection, just an honest, faith-filled request. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5) That generosity is staggering when you sit with it — God gives wisdom without finding fault, without making us earn it first. Today, whatever you are facing, you do not have to face it with only your own understanding. Come to Him with your questions, your uncertainties, your tangled decisions — and trust that the one who spoke the world into existence knows exactly what you need to hear.
