Evening Prayer — Comfort | Friday, July 10, 2026

Evening Prayer

As this week comes to a close, we bring You everything we’ve carried these past few days — the tiredness, the moments that felt harder than expected, the quiet worries we didn’t say out loud. Tonight, we don’t need to hold any of it tightly anymore. We simply set it down in Your presence and breathe.

There’s a particular kind of relief that comes at the end of a long week, and we recognize that relief as something You’ve given us, not something we manufactured ourselves. Thank You for meeting us in the exhausted moments as much as the good ones — for being close when we felt low, and steady when we felt unsure. We didn’t have to face any of it without You.

As we release this week into Your hands, let comfort settle over us like something warm and familiar. Let our rest tonight be real rest — not just an absence of activity, but a deep trust that we are held. We close this day and this week grateful, at peace, and comforted.

A Word of Reflection

Comfort is one of the quietest gifts we receive, often noticed only after the hard moment has passed. “God comforts us in all our troubles” (2 Corinthians 1:4) reminds us that no weariness goes unseen and no ache goes unmet. As this week ends, we can release whatever weighed on us, trusting that we were never carrying it alone. May that same comfort carry us gently into rest tonight and into the days ahead.
