Morning Prayer — Worship | Thursday, May 14, 2026

Morning Prayer

Good morning, Lord. What a gift it is to wake to another day — another chance to open our eyes and find you faithful. Before the tasks of this Thursday take shape, before the notifications and the noise of the world begin to pull at our attention, we pause to simply acknowledge who you are. You are worthy of every breath, every moment, every morning that rises in your name.

Worship is not something we save for Sundays or set aside for special seasons. It is the posture of a heart that recognizes greatness and responds. This morning, we respond. We look at the sky you painted and the life you gave us and we say — you are good. You are holy. You are the reason we rise at all. Let that awareness travel with us through every hour of this day, turning ordinary moments into quiet acts of devotion.

May our work today be worship. May our words carry reverence. May the way we treat others reflect how deeply we have been loved. We don’t come to you this morning with a long list of requests — we come simply to be in your presence, to sit at your feet, and to let the awe of who you are reshape everything else. You are worthy, and we are grateful.

A Word of Reflection

There is something transformative about beginning the day with worship rather than worry. The Psalms model this posture beautifully: “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.” — Psalm 29:2. Worship is not just a song or a prayer — it is the acknowledgment of God’s worth in the midst of everyday life. When we orient our mornings around who God is rather than what we need, everything else finds its proper place. May this Thursday be marked by a spirit of reverence that flows naturally from a heart that has taken time to truly worship.
