Morning Prayer
Good morning, and thank You for this new day and the chance to walk closely with You. As we begin, we ask for hearts willing to follow, even when Your way differs from our own instincts. So often we want to understand everything first before we’re willing to obey — today, help us to trust and follow even when we don’t have full clarity.
Obedience isn’t always easy, especially when it asks us to let go of our own preferences or comfort. Give us the humility to listen closely today, and the willingness to act on what we hear, even in the small, unnoticed moments. Let our obedience come not from fear, but from trust in Your goodness and Your wisdom.
As we step into today, let every choice reflect a quiet willingness to follow where You lead. Whatever this day requires of us, help us to respond with humble obedience rather than resistance. Thank You for guiding us gently, and for being patient as we learn to trust and follow more fully.
A Word of Reflection
Obedience isn’t about blind rule-following — it’s about trusting the character of the One who’s leading us. “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it” (Luke 11:28) reminds us that real blessing flows from a willing, responsive heart, not just knowledge alone. This morning, whatever we sense God asking of us, we can respond with humble trust, believing that His way leads somewhere good.
