Morning Prayer
Good morning, and thank You for this new week and for the countless gifts we often overlook. As we begin, we want to start with thankfulness rather than worry — noticing what we have instead of focusing only on what feels uncertain or unfinished. Fill our hearts with gratitude as we step into today.
Help us to see this week through a lens of thankfulness, even in the ordinary and the challenging moments. It’s easy to notice what’s going wrong, but today, we choose to notice what’s going right — the small provisions, the relationships that support us, the quiet gift of another day to live and grow. Let gratitude shape how we respond to whatever comes our way.
As this week unfolds, let thankfulness be our steady posture, not something reserved for when things go well, but a constant recognition of Your goodness. Thank You for this new week, and for a heart being shaped to notice blessing in all circumstances.
A Word of Reflection
Gratitude isn’t dependent on ideal circumstances — it’s a choice we make regardless of what surrounds us. “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18) reminds us that thankfulness is meant to be constant, not conditional. This morning, as a new week begins, we can choose gratitude as our starting point, trusting that it will shape how we experience everything that follows.
