Morning Prayer
Good morning, and thank You for this new day and for the invitation to be still before it fully begins. Before the busyness takes over, we pause here, quieting the noise in our minds and simply resting in Your presence. We don’t have to rush into today without first sitting with You.
Help us to carry a sense of stillness with us even as the day gets busy. So much of our anxiety comes from moving too fast, thinking too much, trying to control what isn’t ours to control. Teach us to return to quiet moments throughout today, remembering that You are near even in the middle of noise and demands.
As we step into today, let stillness be something we return to, not something we lose the moment things get hectic. Whatever this day holds, we trust that peace is available to us in the pauses, however brief, when we choose to be still and remember who You are.
A Word of Reflection
Stillness isn’t about having no responsibilities — it’s about pausing long enough to remember who is truly in control. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10) reminds us that quiet moments with God are where clarity and peace are restored. This morning, whatever today brings, we can return to that stillness whenever we need it, trusting that God remains steady even in our busiest moments.
