Evening Prayer
As this day draws to a close, we come before You with grateful hearts, releasing all that we carried from morning into evening. Today held its share of moments — some that stretched us, some that surprised us, and some that reminded us just how deeply we depend on Your guiding hand. We breathe out the weight of it all now, and breathe in the quiet assurance that You were present in every single one of them.
Lord, we thank You for the gift of new beginnings. No matter what today looked like — whether it felt like progress or like standing still — Your mercies remain constant and Your purposes are still unfolding. We lay down any sense of failure or unfinished longing at Your feet, trusting that tomorrow is already held in Your hands, and that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us.
As we rest, may our hearts settle into the peace that comes from knowing we are held. May sleep restore what the day has wearied, and may we rise tomorrow with eyes open to the new things You are already doing. We surrender this day, and we trust You for the next. Amen.
A Word of Reflection
There is something profoundly freeing about the truth that God is always making things new. Wherever we find ourselves tonight — in a season of change, recovery, or quiet waiting — we are not forgotten or left behind. “Behold, I am making all things new,” He declares with certainty in Revelation 21:5. This is not a distant promise reserved for someday; it is an active, present reality working in and around us even now. As we close our eyes tonight, we can release what was and rest in the One who already holds what is yet to come.
